The Perry Area Community Band is a group of dedicated musicians who assemble each summer to present a series of concerts for the Perry community. Our concerts are held in the Pattee Park Band Shell on Thursday evenings during the month of June, beginning at 8:00 p.m. Our concerts are supported in part by the Perry Community School District, the City of Perry, and the Perry Recreation Department. Our band is made up of area musicians from the cities of Perry, Adel, Bagley, Bouton, Dawson, Des Moines, Grand Junction, Grimes, Jefferson, Minburn, Ogden, Rippey, and Woodward. The band is open to any area instrumental musician and we rehearse each Thursday evening prior to the concert in the High School Band room. The Perry Area Community Band is under the direction of Steve Cook.
