At Perry, we focus on ensuring that all students are learning and achieving at high levels. Using the Iowa Core as the foundation, teachers challenge students with rigorous learning experiences while creating and maintaining a safe and supportive environment. Perry educators work year-round to improve their skills and knowledge in order to make this happen.

Our district goals as identified by the School Board and community include:

  1. Demonstrate growth in student learning.
  2. Secure and manage financial resources responsibly.
  3. Provide each staff member with targeted staff development.
  4. Communicate and collaborate effectively with all stake-holders.

Teaching & Learning oversees a variety of programs and services throughout the school district, including the Annual Progress Report, the Iowa Core and curriculum for all content areas and grade levels, Iowa State Assessment of Student Progress or ISASP, English Learner Program, Gifted and Talented Program, District Library Program, Teacher Leadership Program, professional learning for all educators in the district, etc.
